Engineer Fibers & Nonwoven R&T

Your responsibilities

  • Innovate and improve in the field on non-woven technologies like airlay, carding, needling or spunbond
  • Develop and optimize conversion process to achieve targeted product quality and performance
  • Run trials in production facilities worldwide which would require traveling up to 30% of time
  • Provide innovation ideas and input to generate new gate 0 proposals
  • Be the prime technical resource and provide technical direction within agreed R&T projects
  • Support the roll-out and industrialization of innovations
  • Actively participate to the felt global Expert Network
  • Build a network of internal and external contacts, including suppliers, universities and institutes focused on delivering innovation
  • Carry out patent and literature searches in a regular and systematic way, contribute to the filing of new patents

 

Your qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in relevant Textile science, Engineering, Material science or Plastics technologies or
  • 10 years relevant experience with apprenticeship/technical school
  • An organized individual with logical, hands on and practical approach
  • The ability to prioritize workload with a flexible approach to work is required
  • Takes personal responsibility for decisions and actions
  • Able to build and develop formal and informal networks in and out-side the company
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. German or French or Italian are an advantage
  • Valid driving license
