Your responsibilities

  • Develop new and improved materials, processes and products in the field of thermo-plastic composites
  • Contribute to technical resource and direction to R&T projects
  • Ensure thorough documentation and appropriate communication of project work
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant H&S policies and procedures
  • Carry out patent and literature searches in a regular and systematic manner
  • Support the commercial introduction of new materials and processes within CBU, DEC and Operations teams
  • Build a network of internal and external contacts focused on delivering innovation and build technology ownership
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities and institutes
  • Participate and steer global expert network community
  • Ready for international travelling of 20%

Your qualifications

  • Master or PhD degree in composite engineering, materials science, chemistry or plastics technologies or equivalent experience in the field
  • Broad knowledge of area of technical responsibility
  • An organized individual with logical, hands on and practical approach
  • The ability to prioritize workload with a flexible approach to work is required
  • Knowledge of Automotive quality standards
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • The ability to build and develop formal and informal networks in and outside the company
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, German or French are an advantage
