Main tasks:

 

   Business acquisition:

• Analyzes and feedback on the customer requirements: specifications, drawings, standards, CSR through the feasibility analysis;
• Collects and analyzes all relevant lessons learned for similar projects/ products/technologies: customer claims, PPM level, recurring failures, TOP 5 issues, field concerns, warranty issues, scrap, master FMEAs and supports the project team to offer corrective measures for the relevant business.
• Supports the development team with providing inputs to ensure the product performance through the Engineering Verification ( EV )/ Design Verification ( DV )/ part verification (PV) considering the customer requirements: sampling plan, concept for product verification…;
• Defines product/process quality controls: concept of checking gauges, concept for process reliability ( error proofing/ Poka Yoke…), control of special characteristics ( SPC ), requalification plan for product and process…
• Evaluates cost of Quality ( checking gauge / part verification plan / product requalification / product certifications ( CQC…) after alignment with the relevant parties ( Competences centers, DECs, laboratories, plants…).

 

   Product and Process Development:

• Ensures the availability and the strict implementation of the appropriate customer requirements: customer specifications, standards, drawings, CSR, special characteristics related to product and process, customer functional analysis, customer DFMEA…
• In multidisciplinary team, contributes in the checking and analyzing all relevant customer requirements ( contract review );
• Participates and provides input for the review and update of the feasibility analysis ( considering lessons learned, master FMEAs…);
• Is the responsible to ensure that all applicable Autoneum and customer requirements are effectively implemented through the Functional analysis, Design FMEA and Process FMEA including product/ process special characteristics, customer drawings requirements, CSR, process reliability …
• Is the responsible to ensure that the FMEAs are compliant with the AIAG/VDA methodology and customer requirements.
• Is actively participating to the FMEAs events and challenging internal parties to protect Autoneum and customer interest.
• Is responsible for the gauges design ( establishment of the gauge specification ), ordering, verification through the appropriate MSA system, acceptance and handover to Autoneum plants in line with customer and Autoneum plant requirements. In case of the intercompany purchased part, he is responsible for the establishment of the gauge specification but the ordering process and the other relevant acceptance activities are belonging to the Quality operations ( Plant customer ).
• Based on the performed D&PFMEAs, establish the control plan through all phases ( Prototype, Pre-Launch and Production Control Plans )  and ensure its approval and implementation in the relevant plant.
• Ensures that all materials declarations are delivered in consistent way to the customer via relevant systems (IMDS ) with the support of the development team.

 

   Product and Process Validation

• Demonstrates the product performance with Ensuring all required tests are made according to customer requirements and to the defined timing plan: the testing plan should accurate, and all tests reports should be properly documented.
• Considers the relevant product and process special characteristics and coordinates the quality operations to demonstrate the machine/ process capabilities through the appropriate SPC methodology ( plant to execute the measurements )
• Supports actively all quality relevant activities related to Internal run and Customer run at rate;
• Ensures that all PPAP documents are consistent and properly uploaded in the relevant customer portal up to-date and controlled, and ensures the tracking of the customer to get the relevant approvals.
• Define the product acceptance criteria together with the relevant Autoneum plants and obtains the customer approval through the master samples and the defect catalog ( boundary samples/ defect catalog…)
• Confirms the product Requalification plan toward the customer and through the official PPAP submission, in line with the DEC and Quality operations.,

 

   Authorities:

• Requires the necessary documents from the internal departments ( Program supplier Quality,  operations, DEC, Competence center, PC&L, PM … );
• Within the project phase, he has the right to block a customer delivery when customer requirements are not met;
• Escalates critical issues related to project execution to the BGEU Head of AQP;

Required experience:

• Significant experience in  Advanced Product Quality Planning and project management;
• Good background in IATF 16 949 and Automotive core tools ( PPAP, D & P FMEA, Control plan, SPC, MSA …);
• Significant experience in handling engineering documentation ( drawings, GD&T, customer specifications, testing methods…);
• Good background in Customer Specific Requirements, management of special characteristics and government/ legal requirements;
• Good background in process auditing according to VDA 6.3 / FIEV …
• Proven problem solving ability using standard tools 8D, Ishikawa, 5Why, etc.
• Basics in the following management systems:, ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001.

 

 Required qualifications:

• Basic technical education (mechanical engineer or similar);
• Good level in English, German is highly appreciated.

• Highly developed communicator gaining support by good problem-solving ability, logical decision-making and influencing skills; clear verbal and written skills.
• Assertiveness and negotiation ability.
• Flexibility in travelling.
