For our Group Strategy & Sustainability Department located in Switzerland or Germany, we are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to ensure the optimal economic and technical positioning of our product portfolio and innovations at Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This role involves defining and communicating product strategy to our global organization, managing Autoneum’s product and technology lifecycles, and leading the roll-out of innovations in collaboration with the sales team.

Your responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain deep understanding of the global products positioning considering key market trends and customer needs
  • Develop product strategies that enable decision about business development (customers and markets) at each phase of the Product Life Cycle
  • Proactively improve the sustainability value of the product portfolio in line with corporate strategy and stakeholder expectations
  • Identify and participate in business development activities for innovation roll-out at OEMs and actively steer the innovation pipeline
  • Establish and monitor global revenue, cost and profitability of the respective product line worldwide
  • Define target costs based on understanding of market price trends and track implementation
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Sales, R&T, Marketing, Product Line Management, Purchasing and other functions

 

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in management, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Engineering or similar
  • Technical background with experience of products and technologies in the automotive industry is important prerequisite
  • Good knowledge of the automotive and the supplier industry is an advantage
  • Commercial background in project management or business development
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in product management or business development
  • Basic understanding of financial controlling
  • Team player with good communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical personality with a structured and strategic approach
  • Communicating effectively, acting with accountability, strategic thinking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German, any other language is an advantage
  • Business trips are regularly required
  • A valid work permit for Switzerland or Germany is required
