At our facility in Aiken, SC, we are looking for a


Senior Line Operator

United States - Aiken 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that 5S and other prescribed best practices are adhered to and the workplace displays a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure that material is moved in/out, ensure material handlers are doing their job properly.
  • Continuously monitor the line and ensure maintenance, supervision and engineering are aware of breakdowns, possible improvements and make adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure that target boards are filled in, targets are correct, comments are made and boards are signed.  Communicate issues to shift supervisor.
  • Do a handoff with the prior shift to cover any issues that may carry over.
  • Guide and train production operators.
  • Check all machine settings to ensure operating within the control plan and record in the system.
  • Perform first part inspection and fill out QC sheet at the start of the shift. 
  • Perform QC checks for all parts running in the assigned work cells.
  • Ensure machines are running properly after a breakdown, verify QA standards are met.
  • Assist in changeovers, ensure are completed timely.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to the above.

 

 

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Experience operating automated lines
  • Ability to successfully obtain/maintain Autoneum forklift certification
  • Basic math and measurement skills required
  • Ability to identify problems and make recommendations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables with limited supervisory support.
  • Ability to retrieve information via the floor support system
