Product and Process Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

As a product and process engineer in the Product Line you are responsible for product development activities from the time the order is placed until the end of production. In particular, you will ensure that technical customer requirements are met, that the product can be manufactured and that profitability targets are achieved. Your individual tasks include to

  • ensure profitable and successful product development phase
  • assess product maturity and feasibility by initiating tests and trials vs. customer requirements and critical characteristics 
  • supervise the maturation of the feasible part CAD in collaboration with internal/external CAD services
  • integrate Autoneum Production System (APS) principles in the product and process design (manufacturing feasibility)
  • ensure manufacturing process design requirements are respected and aligned with the plants
  • create and update product and process data in PLM on time according to APD (bill of materials, purchased part specifications, critical process parameters, drawings, DFMEA)
  • track profitability by updating part cost calculations and take necessary actions for mitigating deviations
  • align with validation laboratories / AQP for product validation (PPAP)  
  • supervise relevant prototyping activities related to awarded projects

 

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • experience with product development (preferably in the automotive business)
  • target-oriented attitude
  • quick learner with good time management skills
  • independent, highly organized and able to cope with variable workloads
  • willing to travel and to work in an international and multicultural environment
