Team Leader Functional Substrates and New Applications

Your responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of technical experts to provide requested level of support to projects related to foams, plastics, elastomers and thermoplastic composites
  • Ensure delivery of technical resources, provide leadership and direction on agreed R&T projects and act yourself as an engineering resource in some specific projects
  • Actively participate in and potentially lead an Expert Network in your area of technical responsibility
  • Cascade R&T performance targets to team members via Performance Management Process
  • Keep abreast of technology developments relevant for Autoneum projects and overall strategic direction
  • Monitor patent literature and act upon relevant patents
  • Provide support to roll out R&T projects and trouble shooting activities

Your qualifications

  • Master or PhD degree in composite engineering, materials science, chemistry or plastics technologies or equivalent experience in the field
  • An organized individual with logical, hands on and practical approach
  • Able to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing work demands
  • Capable of leading innovation teams and developing talents
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to take initiative and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Interested to build and develop formal and informal networks in and outside the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, German or French are an advantage
