Product and Process Expert - PU FOAM systems

Poland - Katowice - 100%

Your responsibilities

Ensure Development and Qualification of PU foam systems :

  • For the self-formulated (in house) and pre-formulated systems in use within the Business Group Europe
  • Assess product conformity vs. Customer Requirements, establish and follow up on action plans to mitigate deviations.
  • Create and update product and process data (Bill Of Materials, Purchased Part Specifications, Critical Process Parameters, DFMEA) and ensure effective handover to other Functions.
  • Track profitability by updating Cost Calculations.
  • Supervise relevant prototyping activities related to awarded projects.
  • Support the trials, start-up and production launch of the new systems
  • Ensure continuous improvement by collection and implementation of lessons learnt from the Development.
  • Support MOVE, VA/VE activities and material standardization.

Your qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: Chemical engineer
  • Language: English Fluent is must have. German is nice to have.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the industry.
  • Experienced with development and formulation of chemicals.
  • Experienced in Polyurethane chemistry and processing.
  • Experienced with HC emissions and odor requirements.

Candidate profile:

  • Practical hands on, who likes to formulate and experiment on the shopfloor
  • Problem solver, data driven.
  • Ability to organize and present technical documentation, with good communication skills
  • Open to travel to different EU locations in order to support start ups and problem solving in plants, up to 50% of working time.
