Plant Controller

United States - Bloomsburg 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Directs and monitors all functions of the Plant Finance & Accounting Department.
  • Direct responsibility for P&L, forecasting, monthly Flash, budget preparation, mid-term planning and their presentation to upper management.
  • Responsible for plant cost reduction program.  Review all MOVE measures, validate the savings and stay actively involved during the development/implementation phases.  Ensure forecasts reflect the total savings, for the plant.
  • Communicates directly with Swiss Corporate Office on “KPI’s”, “cost reduction”, and “metrics” programs.
  • Participate in the quoting process related to the plant.  Review the overall assumptions for the program (manufacturing, capital, tooling, and financials) and provide input as necessary.
  • Evaluate data; develop financial plans and propose solutions to problems for which there is no established approach using continuous improvement principles,
  • Performs month-end financial close, analysis and reporting.
  • Prepares month end journal entries (i.e. accruals) to ensure accounting records are compliant to US GAAP &IFRS regulations.  Provides corporate accounting all supporting documentation for journal entries prepared.
  • Maintains Master data in SAP ERP system.
  • Calculates standard product costs in SAP.
  • Responsible for invoicing and miscellaneous billings.
  • Prepares weekly/monthly reporting and outlooks as required by ANA.
  • Analyzes all capital expenditures
  • Assist on plant product physical inventory and fixed account physical inventory and year-end inventory revaluation.
  • Audits procedures for compliance and profitability.
  • Reconciles customer A/R problems experienced by ANA.
  • Assists in SAP ERP system to monitor all production and inventory levels and Customer pricing.
  • Ensures compliance with all related TS 16949 & ISO 14001 procedures and requirements related to Accounting.
  • Development of financial control systems, including purchase orders and releases.
  • Contract review of all non-automotive customers.
  • As a member of the Environmental Management System CFT reports on the performance of the EMS program to management on a periodic basis for the review and improvement of the EMS.
  • Controls, measures and regulates inventory levels of materials, commodities and purchased items including MRO materials, consistent with just in time and continuous improvement principles.
  • Visits customers as needed to assure ongoing positive customer/vendor relations.

The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting
  • Master’s Degree in Management and/or CPA/CMA is a positive
  • Must have 5-10 years experience in Automotive manufacturing accounts
  • Must have prior plant experience
  • Must have SAP experience
