At our facility in Aiken, SC, we are looking for a


Process Engineer

United States - Aiken 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure facility meets safety and environmental regulations. Ensure facility safety guidelines are implemented and safe work practices are followed
  • Ensure compliance with all related IATF and ISO policies and procedures.
  • Analyze processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities. Support Kaizens and 5S events.
  • Assist Operations and related function (based on daily presence on the production floor) in selecting, prioritizing, and implementing actions to improve plant performance.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and 8D’s, which includes, but is not limited to, Six Sigma tools, meetings, data collection, etc.
  • Responsible for process performance related challenges – troubleshoot and assists with correction. Responsible to ensure SPC data is in control
  • Develop Standard Work, FMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Quality documents
  • Assist in revising and developing standard operational work practices
  • Support APQP as needed and projects as assigned, to include establishing and maintaining APQP documentation
  • Responsible for initial training of new production process launches

Process Engineer

  • Assist in revising and developing standard operational work practices
  • Support APQP as needed and projects as assigned, to include establishing and maintaining APQP documentation
  • Assume responsibility for the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP’s)
  • Responsible for initial training of new production process launches
  • Manage major capital and MOVE projects to bring them in on time and on budget.  Lead and finalize equipment layouts, manufacturing processes, and detailed estimates in preparation for submitting capital requests
  • Responsible for commissioning equipment prior to startup
  • Direct the work of outside contractors on capital projects with Maintenance Supervisor’s assistance
  • BS Degree, preferably in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering
  • 2-5 years process engineering background in a high speed JIT manufacturing environment
  • Experience with robotics troubleshooting and programming (Motoman, Fanuc, ABB)
  • Strong robotic controls programming a plus
